Fourth accreditation for DHB

Lakes District Health Board and its services are celebrating its new accreditation status, awarded for actively and effectively pursuing opportunities for improvement.
Telarc Quality Health's projects coordinator Janice Pain presented the framed accreditation certificate to Lakes DHB and congratulated staff and management there for their outstanding effort, resulting in being awarded four year's accreditation for the third consecutive accreditation.

She says the survey report highlighted the strong commitment to delivering a high standard of patient care and improving experiences of care, despite the disruptions experienced by the building programme.
Lakes DHB chief executive, Cathy Cooney, says the organisation is fully committed to continuous quality improvement and would always want to be part of an accreditation programme.
