A group of men stealing sheep from a local Eastern Bay of Plenty farm are just one of the many suspicious activities reported by local neighbourhood watch members.
The incident was reported to police last week after a member saw what they saw were a group of men wearing Mongrel Mob patches in a car, with a sheep kicking in the back of the car.
Sheep were reportedly stolen from an Eastern Bay farm last week.
Community Watch Co-coordinator Judy Collins says the member took down the car's registration number and gave police the descriptions of the men.
Judy says the aim of neighbourhood watch is to work with police, and other community organisations, to reduce crime in the area.
People with information on suspicious activity are asked to call their local police station. In the case of an emergency, people should call 111 and if they wish to remain anonymous, information can be given to the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
