Good morning, today is shaping up to be another lovely day in Tauranga with fine weather and a high of 18 degrees predicted.
There are so many events happening in and around Tauranga today and if you're after something a bit different, then why not head down to the Sew Retro sale at the Historic Village this morning.
From 9am to 3pm, retro and vintage fabric will be on sale, along with clothing, doilies, tablecloths, ties, aprons and other assorted pieces of nostalgia. Cash and eftpos will be available on site.
Then later on this evening brass players from Thames, Waihi, Taupo and Hamilton will come together to play to the Brass Band Festival at Salvation Army on the corner of Cameron Road and 5th Ave.
These bands will coming as a massed band under guest conductor, Jim Downey, from 6.30pm to deliver a free concert.
