Children scaling tall trees

More than 100 children climbed tall trees at Yatton Park on Saturday morning as part of Live to Play Month.
There were flying foxes and other climbing activities, nets to play on and small swings were just as popular as the trees.

Brian Rickey from Full Circle Arboriculture explains to Zane Warburton how the harness works.

Tree climbing is one of Live to Play's most popular events and City arborist Richard Conning says it is a ‘feel good' event.
'We are always incredibly grateful to the local contractors and arborists who make the day possible."
Children had a chance to scale some of Tauranga's tallest trees in safety harnesses, says Richard.
