What's On Today? Basketball

Good morning Sunners,

Just one more day of the long weekend to go! There's baskets aplenty today, but not of the Easter treat kind – as one of the nation's largest basketball tournaments slams into Tauranga.

Today is the final day of the 25th annual Basketball Pacific Easter Tournament, which began on Good Friday, when more than 135 basketball teams converged on the city's courts.

Teams are divided into under-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 categories, with seven teams from across the Tasman adding extra spice to the competition.

To get through all of the matches this weekend, games are played at three venues – ASB Arena, QE2 Centre and Aquinas College.

Play tips from 8am today.
