An expected 400 vehicles are sure to turn heads and leave tongues wagging when the Classic Cover Brits at the Beach Festival returns in 15 days times.

The annual four-day festival attracts hundreds of motoring enthusiasts to Whangamata to celebrate the very best of British cars, motorcycles, food, music, fashion, culture and more.

Taking pace from October 8-11, this year's festival is also sponsored by Sun Media, which owns and produces SunLive.

Organiser Colin McCabe says he is extremely pleased to announce that this year's official programme has now been released.

'This year we've made it a free 20 page colour booklet with the whole four day programme, plus the day programme for The Great British Village Fete which is being sponsored by Sunlive,” says Colin.

'All our preparations are coming along really well and we just can't wait to show everyone all the efforts and hard work we've put in to this year's festival.”

The programme, which contains a stash of useful information, are available from Whangamata New World, Whanga Books. Z Whangamata, Whanga Info Plus, and from all the advertisers.

For Colin and his team, they're excited to be offering more entertainment to this year's lineup.

The festival will be hosting a couple of major shows this year and Colin says other local groups will also be staging events on the same weekend.

'So through the weekend there's about 10 different things people can do which we just think is marvellous because the more taking place around town, the more people will come.”

To date, some 300 vehicles from as far north as Whangarei and as far south as Waikanae have preregistered for the 2015 festival.

Some notable registrations includes a 1925 Austin 12/4 Tourer, a 1925 Rover 14/45, and a 1973 Jensen Interceptor – one of only a small handful left in New Zealand.

'Things are starting to ramp up now and people are gearing themselves up for the festival so we're anticipating a bit of a mad rush in the next couple of weeks.

'We expect around 400 cars will take part in the Classic Cover Grand Parade of British Motoring which will travel down Whangamata's Port Road on the Saturday of the festival.”
