It's a craze that's taking over the internet. It's been seen all over the world from New York City's Brooklyn Bridge to outside Scotland's famous Edinburgh Castle, but now, it's come to Tauranga.

To celebrate the new Dance-o-Mat in Tauranga, Trustpower staff gave it their best shot and attempted their own version of ‘The Running Man' yesterday.

Trustpower staff members shimmied their stuff this afternoon on the new Dance-o-Mat on The Strand, Tauranga.

The challenge has taken the internet by storm when New Zealand police officers posted a video online of them strutting their stuff which has been viewed nearly nine million times on Facebook.

One onlooker thought Trustpower's version looked 'pretty cool” and that the SunLive team should be up there next.

One lady joked about there being a 'great bloopers reel” to which the camerawoman replied 'It's one big blooper!”
