Rising above the Mount skyline, the Emerald Princess is back in port.

The cruise ship carrying 3114 passengers and about 1200 crew arrived in Tauranga from Auckland this morning.

The ship has a gross tonnage of 113561 tonnes and is 290m long.

It's scheduled to leaving for Wellington at 7.30pm.

The next cruise ship is scheduled to arrive on April 18.
