Police are turning to the public to help them locate a man in relation to an assault.
Whangamata Police are looking to identify the man pictured on the jet ski above, says the Waikato Police on their Facebook page.
'On Sunday, December 30 2018 a 67-year-old Department of Conservation worker was out managing the protection of a wildlife refuge at Opoutere.
'There she was spat on and had sand thrown in her face.”
Police are asking anyone who recognising the man in the photo to get in touch.
'Even share the photo across your friends and family. That time of the year the population would have increased with people from out of town.”
Information can be given to your local police station.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
