UPDATED 11.10PM: Police have a scene guard in place at Ormsby Lane in Omanawa.
Earlier there were multiple reports coming in of an armed Police presence at McLaren Falls as Police responded to an incident at a property in Omanawa.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area at this time, says a police spokesperson.
"Cordons are in place and a scene guard will be at the property overnight."

Multiple reports are coming in of an armed police presence at McLaren Falls.
A number of people have messaged SunLive on Facebook to say there are a number of emergency services vehicles in the area.
There are six police cars, two ambulance and and a fire engine at Mclaren Falls, says one reader.
The reader also says that people are being blocked from entering the area.
A police spokesperson says they can confirm police are currently responding to an incident in Omanawa, but don't have any further information at this stage.
A reporter at the scene says police are stopping people at the Falls bridge.
"It's mayhem with people turning around. Police are advising residents to go up Omanawa Road."

Crime involving guns is not diminishing. Rather the opposite. Labours gun law was just a publicity stunt.
