Divers, a barge and a helicopter are due to arrive on the Coromandel coastline on Monday to help with the rocky coastline clean-up.
Debris from the Rena has been washing ashore at Tairua and Sailors Grave, north of Tairua, since the recent bad weather which saw the stern of the vessel become submerged underwater.

All Coromandel beaches on the eastern sea-board are being checked by Thames-Coromandel District Council staff and contractors.
Mayor Glenn Leach is praising the efforts of volunteers who have helped with the clean-up.
'It's great to see our locals and visitors getting stuck in to help us. We can now report that Matapaua Bay is now pretty much clear, with the debris taken over to Opito Bay for collection.
'Volunteers are doing a fantastic job to get the beaches cleaned up so quickly and I thank them for taking time-out during their holidays to assist.”
He says the situation appears to be under-control, but says 'you just don't know what's coming in on the next tide”.
'There's still a heap of work to do on some of our rocky coastline and to clean up the tiny plastic balls, but the main beaches are looking good.”
