A section of a cycleway in the Western Bay of Plenty will be closed next week.

Omokoroa to Tauranga Cycleway users are advised that the section of Lochhead Road to the Wairoa River will be partly closed from Monday, January 18, for up to three weeks, says a Western Bay of Plenty spokesperson.

"The track will be reduced to one side only to enable earthmoving trucks to transport material along the other side of the cycleway.

"Warning signs will be in place and users are asked to keep to the clear side of the track only.

"Western Bay of Plenty District Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks cycleway users for their cooperation."
