Update 12.30pm: One person has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital by helicopter following a crash near Tokoroa.

The spokesperson says Paraonui Road has now reopened.

Earlier: Emergency services are in attendance at a single-vehicle crash near Tokoroa.

Police were alerted to the crash at about 10.45am.

One person is reported to be in a serious condition, says a police spokesperson.

Paraonui Road, between Matanuku Road and Youngs Road, is closed and diversions are in place.
