Western Bay of Plenty residents are being advised not to put their rubbish out on Friday.

The normal collection service for the region will be slightly different, due to Friday being a public holiday.

"Easter rubbish collections normally completed on Fridays will be picked up on Easter Saturday, April 3, due to the Good Friday holiday," says a Western Bay of Plenty District Council spokesperson.

"Easter Monday collections will be as normal.

"Residents are asked to please put bins and bags out at the normal time.

"Please contact your service provider directly if you have any questions regarding kerbside rubbish and recycling collections."

Western Bay of Plenty District Council's Community Recycling and Greenwaste Centres will operate under usual business hours and opening days.

Athenree will also be open on Easter Monday from 10am to 4pm.

Omokoroa Greenwaste (greenwaste only)
