The Bay of Plenty Rugby Union has announced the launch of a new employment agency.

Bayland Recruitment will provide temporary, fixed term and permanent employment solutions whilst also aiming to support the growth of small local businesses in the Bay of Plenty rugby community.

The agency is focused on working with key partners who can provide jobs and offer good environments for people to work.

'We have recognised the importance of adapting to the changes to the rugby and sporting environment and how we have to operate to provide for our community,” says Bay of Plenty Rugby Union CEO Mike Rogers.

'Working collaboratively with local industry and utilising our network of clubs we can play a role in dealing with the challenges our region has with securing talent for jobs in certain sectors.

'At the same time we can attract talent to our rugby clubs. The point of difference Bayland Recruitment delivers is that not only will we make a positive impact from an economic standpoint we will also be able to support our community.”

Ati Aaifou-Olive, Bay of Plenty Rugby Union pathways & experiences general manager, who is heading the company, is excited to collaborate with industries that are connected to our game and who have employment opportunities for our rugby community.

With labour shortages in the Bay of Plenty, Aaifou-Olive is confident that Bayland Recruitment will assist in the growth of many businesses.

'With 37 rugby clubs in the region, our connection to thousands of people is the largest in the Bay of Plenty and are also well connected nationally and internationally,” says Ati.

'By using our contacts in the community, we are able to grow our clubs and businesses by providing jobs to our club players, coaches, volunteers and families connected to our game.”

Potential employees looking for work can head to the Bayland Recruitment website and click on the 'Register for Work' button and fill out a simple online form. They will then be contacted by a Bayland Recruitment consultant to start the recruitment process.

Prospective employers can also register online to hire staff members for their workplace by clicking on the 'Hire Staff' button.

They will then fill out a quick online form before receiving further information from a Bayland Recruitment consultant.
