The first of a series of Pasifika mass vaccination events begins today with the aim of making immunisations against Covid-19 for communities more accessible.
A drive-through vaccination event for the Tongan community is being launched at the Free Wesleyan Church Of Tonga in Auckland, and will run through to Saturday.
Pacific Response Coordination Team chair Pakilau Manase Lua said the target was to vaccinate at least 3000 people.
Later this month a drive-through event for the Niuean community in Māngere is aiming to attract close to 2000 people.
