Chinese restaurant Kwang Chow in Mount Maunganui has been listed as a high risk location of interest.

People who were there at the times of exposure must self-isolate and get tested immediately and on day five after they were exposed.

The Ministry of Health says further isolation and testing requirements will be provided by Public Health.

The times of exposure are Friday, December 3 from 11.30am to 10.15pm, Saturday, December 4 from 11.15am to 10.15pm and Sunday, December 5 from 11am to 6pm.

Other locations of interest announced tonight are MIDAS Tauranga on Friday, December 3 from 7:45 am - 8:30 am and Mitre 10 Mega Tauranga on Sunday, December 5 from 8:45am - 10am.

People who have visited these two locations are advised to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after exposure. If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result, is the advice from the ministry.
