UPDATE 4:49pm: One person is in police custody following an altercation in Parkvale earlier today.

Armed police a Henderson Road address following reports of a disorder between two people in Parkvale around 10:46am.

Cordons were established around Henderson Crescent and people were advised to stay away.

A police spokesperson says police were notified of a disagreement between people known to each other on Henderson Cres at 10:46.

"Police are currently in attendance."

A SunLive reader has emailed to say there are "many cop cars" on Henderson Crescent.

The reader says they have blocked off Alverstoke Road by Mansels Road.

"There are about five police cars, guns and all."
