Police are investigating a ram-raid style burglary in Tauranga.

Officers were called to a pharmacy on Courtney Road in Gate Pa around 5am.

'It appears a person has used a vehicle to gain entry into a pharmacy and driven off with items from the store,” says a police spokesperson.

'Enquiries ongoing.”

A reporter at the scene says Nutech Security have a guard posted at the pharmacy this morning.

"Police are also at the scene. Two large glass panels are smashed in."

People with information about the crime can call the police's 105 non-emergency line.

Alternatively, information can also be phoned in anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
