Tauranga MP Sam Uffindell faces another 'few weeks” in political limbo, as the investigation into his behaviour continues.
National leader Christopher Luxon said Uffindell would be suspended from the party's caucus until an independent investigation was completed into his conduct before he became an MP.
Concerns were raised when Stuff revealed Uffindell was suspended from his boarding school at 16 years old, after he entered a younger student's dorm room and attacked him in the middle of the night.
Then, RNZ spoke to a former flatmate of Uffindell's who lived with him while they studied at Otago University.
She raised concerns about his character, saying he once pounded on her door while screaming obscenities at her.

In a statement, Uffindell denied the bullying allegations from his former flatmate.
He said he rejected any accusation that he engaged in behaviour that was intimidatory or bullying while at Otago University.
The National Party commissioned Maria Dew QC to investigate claims against Uffindell.
At the time, party president Sylvia Wood said she expected the review to take two weeks. Those two weeks are now up, and National has confirmed the investigation has been delayed.
A party spokesperson says the review will hopefully be complete in another 'couple of weeks”.
In a statement, they say: 'As is often the case with investigations like this, it is taking longer than anticipated.”
They say that given it's an independent investigation, there's no guarantee on when it will be completed – so further delays are possible.
Luxon says Uffindell has been be stood down until that investigation is complete, and so the new MP for Tauranga could face a month or more in suspension as Dew looks into allegations against him.

Just wondering who will be called into this investigation from both sides and what the terms of reference are as this as I understand the decision only will be released.
