A truck had broken down in the area earlier and was causing traffic delays.
A Tauranga City Council spokesperson says a mobile mechanic has conducted repairs on the broken down truck.

A truck and trailer has broken down on the Te Maunga overpass, causing heavy traffic congestion between Girven Rd and Te Maunga interchange.
"The truck is blocking one of the east bound lanes on Maunganui Rd between Exeter St and SH2 Tauranga Eastern Link," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.
According to Google Maps, traffic is moving very slow in the area.
