State Highway 1 is open again after a truck crashed into Lake Taupō.

On Sunday, police were called about 4.30am to the scene of a truck crash between Waitapu Raod and Te Heuheu Road.

Police say there were no serious injuries, but the road would be closed for some time with diversions in place.

The truck had been removed and the road was open by 11am on Monday, says police.
