As part of Tauranga City Council's plans to transform the waterfront in the city centre, the Dive Crescent off-street car park will temporarily close so an upgrade of the parking and amenity in the area can take place.
This temporary closure will be from today Sunday, January 8 until Saturday, April 1 2023.
Signage has been installed to advise car park users of the temporary closure.
Alternative parking can be found at the nearby Cliff Road and The Strand car parks, which remain open and available for use.
For a list of other city centre parking options, please visit www.tauranga.govt.nz/parking and to read more about our transformation plans, go to www.tauranga.govt.nz/ourfuturecitycentre.

So that's another trick from the commissioners to lessen city worker parking, not enough areas at the best of times. Wasting city funds again. Upgrading & beautifying they say. Bollox. Guarantee there be less carparks after it too & why does it take 12 weeks.. Friggin overpaid bureaucrats. Getting on buses or cycling ain't gonna help me get to & from my workplace everyday
Can’t wait

Bring it on. Wow the first real step in changing our car park of a waterfront. Lots to do in 12 weeks. Let’s hope the weather is a bit better. Those parking on the grass for free for the last 30 years will not be happy.
