Waikato Hospital: Bone degrading chemicals stolen

Police are seeking the help of the public to identify the person pictured following the theft of "dangerous chemicals" from Waikato Hospital.

"Three 500ml opaque bottles of a chemical known as pickling paste were reported as have being stolen from the hospital some time between 23 December and 10 January," says a police spokesperson.

"The chemical burns skin, will cause blindness if it makes contact with a person's eyes, and can even cause bones to degrade.

"As well as seeking to identify the person pictured, Police would still like to hear from anyone with information on this theft or the whereabouts of the chemicals.
