Two people are injured following a car crashing into a hotel in Katikati.

The front entrance of the Talisman Hotel Garden Bar & Bistro is damaged after a car hit it this morning.

Police were alerted at about 11.30am today that a vehicle had collided with a building on Main Rd in Katikati, says a police spokesperson.

"Two people have moderate injuries and a diversion is in place."
