People travelling around the Coromandel region are being warned to drive with extreme care.
While some roads may be open following slips being cleared, several remain damaged, reports Coromandel's CFM.
In a post on the radio station's Facebook page, the station is advising people to be extremely careful on the roads.
SH25 Hikuai to Opoutere
'This section of Highway has reopened for essential use and with an extreme care warning from NZTA,” reports CFM.
'The road is in poor condition and anyone planning to use it should be aware of major issues.
'We travelled on this section of the road trying to get fuel to a transmission site last evening.
'There are multiple slips just marked with cones over all or part of a lane, loose rocks, washouts and slumping and more serious are areas with painted lines on cracks showing potentially ongoing movement.
'If you are using please be extremely careful, expect delays and note there is no cellphone coverage in the area.”

SH25 North of Hikuai One Lane Bridge
'Just a warning for anyone traveling on this road. This may have been cleared but this was the condition of the southern lanes as at 7pm last night.
'These are large areas where the seal has lifted and this will cause damage if you try and go over it a speed.
'Extra care needed through this area.”
