Does anyone in Welcome Bay want a rotary island there? Has this been kept a secret? It’s a T intersection, not a crossroad. Locals using it are very obliging and let cars in when the traffic is backed up from Turret Road bridge where the true congestion starts. I will never understand Tauranga Council’s engineering department. Are you even aware of this, Commissioners? Shadow1

Seriously?

Why on earth do we need a roundabout here? Sounds just as looney as the previous idea to build a bus lane from James Cook Drive towards Kaitemako Road. How much money are council going to waste on this?

Well there ya go..!!

...if if locals are making what they have work, and something is working acceptably, then there must be intervention to stuff it up completely...then, 'they' can keep their jobs for a bit longer by having to fix the cock up...:)

Since when did so called UNI educated "traffic engineers" need to CLOSE a PUBLIC ROAD for 8 hours to work out if they can "FIT" a totally un-necessary "round-about on an intersection !!!!!!!!
