Bird shows at Tauranga Racing Club, markets in Maketu and psychic cafes in Greerton are all on offer in Tauranga today.

Today's forecast might be for a bit of rain, but that shouldn't stop people from getting out and enjoying the day. It may pay to take an umbrella or rain jacket with you just in case.

People wanting to head down to the Tauranga Bird Show can do so from 8.30am-1pm (last ticket sales midday), at Tauranga Racing Club, 1383 Cameron Rd, Greerton.

Entry is cash only – adults $5, kids $3, family $15.
