Two people have been taken into custody following a disorder in Tauranga on Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of disorder on Cameron Road around 12.40pm.

Police say a group of youths damaged a vehicle at the intersection of Cameron Road and Twenty Second Avenue.

"Two youths were taken into custody and referred to youth services," says a police spokesperson.
