One person is in custody after an alleged firearm related incident in Omanawa this afternoon.

Police say they were called to a disorder incident at an address on Omanawa Road at about 3.25pm.

"A person at the address allegedly assaulted multiple people and presented a firearm.

"The offender then fled the scene in a vehicle with two of the victims.

"Police were able to track the vehicle and located the three people.

"The two victims were transported to hospital and the offender was taken into custody.

"Enquiries are ongoing and charges are being considered."
