In the Te Papa peninsula, from Greerton to the City Centre, may be experiencing discoloured water in their taps today. This is due to a water mains shutdown on Fraser Street.

"The water is safe, just discoloured," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

"Residents with discoloured water running from their taps should run their outside taps for 10 minutes.

"If discoloured water is still coming out after 10 minutes, residents should call our Contact Centre on 07 577 7000 to advise their address so that we can direct contractors there."
