Nana, we loved that you loved Grandad so much.  We loved everything about your home, but mostly that you and Grandad lived in it.  It was full of fun, laughter, love and your yummy cooking.  We love that you always had time for us, you were always so selfless and so patient.  We really loved that you loved us no matter what we did!  You will be fondly remembered as being so very thoughtful.  You knew it was our birthday months in advance and you would make us the best birthday cakes ever, especially your ginger cake with green icing.  Thank you for being our beautiful Nana.  We love you, have heaps of fun with Grandad, you were the best Nana and Grandad we could ever, ever imagine.

A Team (Nana and Grandad)

I remember when you gave me the remote and let me go into your bed and also when you let me go on the Mule with Grandad. I will always remember you and your beautiful laugh.  I love you Nana, xoxoxoxo love Holly. John Stern, Catherine’s youngest brother, remembers a great life growing up with Bub.  John enjoyed winning golf championships with Bub.  They belonged to the Buckley Golf Club in Shannon. Fondest memories of a GREAT sister-in-law, with heaps of love from Anthea and the late Dennis, Murray and Tonia, WA.  Bub was introduced to the Scholes family 72 years ago. Bub had a few brothers to choose from. When she saw Gordon, it was love at first sight. Many memories of our beautiful kind loving Nana Bub, phone calls over The Repair Shop, Katelin’s tap dancing and your own love of tapping came to light, you even tried to find your own tap shoes.  Our hearts will always be filled by your love and what you taught us.  Give Beth, Dad and GG big cuddles from us. Love Angela and Katelin.

From Mum:

I leave myself to your memory with love, I leave my thoughts, my laughter, my dreams to you, whom I have treasured.  I give you what no thief can steal.  The memories of our times together, the tender moments, the success we have shared, the hard times that brought us closer together and the road we have walked side by side…. And all I take with me as I leave, is your love and the millions of memories of all that we have shared, fear not nor grieve at my departure; for you whom I have loved so much, my roots and yours are forever intertwined.
