Emergency services are responding to the scene of a vehicle on fire on State Highway 29 on the Kaimai Range.
Police received a report of a vehicle engine which caught fire on SH 29 Lower Kaimai at about 12.20pm.
"There were no injuries, and no other vehicles involved," says a police spokesperson.
Police say the NZ Fire Service are attending the scene and are distinguishing the fire.
"The road is currently blocked while they are doing this, but expect it to be clear and traffic to be able to move through again shortly."
Waka Kotahi NZTA report that the vehicle fire is located on SH29 between both ends of Old Kaimai Road.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.
