Alcohol stolen in Te Puke ram raid

Police are hunting the offenders responsible for a ram raid of a Te Puke store.

A vehicle has been used to gain access to a premise on Jellicoe Street at 2.48am, says a police spokesperson.

"Alcohol was stolen before the offenders fled in two vehicles.

"One vehicle was located abandoned on Te Matai Road.

"Enquiries are ongoing, offenders haven’t been located as of yet."

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact their nearest police station.

Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.

Non-emergency information can be phoned into the police 105 number.
