Limited information but lets see... Time of day matches a rush to school, Moderate injuries is getting off lightly when a car is involved. I HONESTLY hope it was not a child injured thru rushing/ lack of due care!

OR, maybe this is a result of the ever increasing violence we are seeing in families? Perhaps this is what happens when someone is trying to get away from an abusive or harmful event/ relationship?

OR, just maybe a genuine mechanical fault led to the car impacting the person?

In any of these cases, 1 it is a tragic thin for those involved, 2 what can be learned from this by those involved or those who had knowledge and could/ should have acted or spoken up?

When dealing with vehicles, can we ALL please slow down and be aware of what who is around us?

I agree with the call to slow down. I was doing 20kph past a school bus this morning and an old dude overtook me and sat on his horn. I can't lip read but I'm pretty sure he was having his say about a fire truck. . . It's possible that one of those must have annoyed him too . . . or . . .
