The Ministry of Social Development’s Work and Income Tauranga Service Centre, corner of Spring and Durham Streets, will close for essential upgrade work for 12 weeks.

Work will include a public toilet facility, seismic strengthening, and safety improvements.

The centre will close at 5pm on Thursday, July 11, and re-open at 8.30am on Friday, October 4.

“While the service centre is closed, staff will be working from other locations and able to help online or by phone”, says MSD regional commissioner Jacob Davies.

“If a face-to-face appointment is required, this can be arranged by calling us on 0800 559 009. Clients can also access MyMSD and the Work and Income website.

“From Monday, July 15, a scanning, payment card pickup and paperwork drop off facility will be available in a temporary reception space 20 metres from the main service centre entrance on Durham Street.

“We look forward to welcoming people back into the office and thank them for their patience.”
