Initial report 10.52: Reports are coming in of a crash on State Highway 29a, in Tauranga.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says emergency services are at the scene of a crash on SH29A, between Poike and Oropi roundabouts.

"It looks like one car has gone off the road.

"Unsure how many people are involved.

The caller says the crash isn't blocking the scene but people should drive with care with emergency services work.
