Police are making enquiries to locate a driver involved in a crash on State Highway 2.

Police received a report of a single vehicle crash on SH2 East, Waimana, at around 8.20am.

It appears the driver abandoned the vehicle and was seen leaving the area in another vehicle before emergency services arrived.

Police are making enquiries to locate the driver and determine the circumstances of the crash.

There are no reported injuries or road blocking.
