This coming week, the Bay of Plenty is expected to have generally fine weather, with some light southwesterlies.
A weakening front is forecast to move northwards over the southern North Island on Tuesday, according to the MetService, while a shallow trough of low pressure will cover the South Island.
A weak front will move northwards over the northern North Island on Wednesday, while a new cold front approaches the southern South Island late in the day.
On Thursday, a cold front with a southerly wind change will be moving northwards over the South Island, while a weak ridge of high pressure covers the North Island.
A southwesterly flow is forecast to cover New Zealand on Friday.
MetService said there is minimal risk of severe weather affecting the country this week.
