The ND Secondary School girls' cricket tournament in Rotorua wrapped up on a disappointing note with no play possible on day three of the tournament because of rain.
The Hamilton team were declared the winners of the rain shortened tournament on the basis of the T20 results on the first two days.
While Bay of Plenty won just one game, the tournament was a good introduction for a number of young new recruits.
Bay of Plenty was well represented in the two ND Secondary Schoolgirl teams that were selected at the conclusion of the tournament.
Tia Robinson, Kate Anderson and Jo Tarris, who missed the tournament, due to ND commitments at the National Under 21 tournament, were selected in the Senior Secondary team.
They were joined in the ND Senior Secondary team by Piki Tai who captained the Bay side in Rotorua.
Two further Bay players were chosen in the ND Junior Secondary Schoolgirls team.
Katie Mountain, along with Macy Adams who made her Bay of Plenty debut this season, were selected in the ND Junior Secondary team.
