Chiefs return to BayPark

Super Rugby Champions the Chiefs will remain connected with their loyal supporters following the announcement of a return to Tauranga next year.

The Chiefs will play host to the Blues at Baypark Stadium, Tauranga in the round seven feature match on Saturday, March 30, at 7.35pm following their round four victory against the Brumbies at the same venue earlier this year.


The Chiefs will return to Baypark Stadium, Tauranga for their round seven clash with the Blues as they look to defend their Super Rugby Championship title in 2013.

The Bay of Plenty has five players in the extended 2013 Super Rugby Squad, Sam Cane, Tanerau Latimer, Brodie Retallick, Lelia Masaga and Mike Kainga (wider training squad).

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says it is important for the Chiefs interact with all followers from throughout the region.

'It is important to the Chiefs family to remain connected to our community and there is no better way to do this, than to play around our region.”

The franchise will also travel to Owen Delany Park, Taupo for their start of their 2013 campaign with a pre-season hit out against the Highlanders on Saturday, February 2 at 3.00pm and later in the season travelling to ECOLight Stadium, Pukekohe to play the Western Force on Saturday, May 10 at 7.35pm.
