The Bay of Plenty team has received few favours in the draw in Pool D at the National 7's, with Canterbury, Taranaki and Counties Manukau, vying with the Bay team for post section berths.

Bay Coach Dean Jennings has gone with a largely unchanged squad that played in the Bay Engineers Supplies Provincial 7's at Blake Park last weekend.
