Resuming at 267/8 it took just 5.1 overs before Manawatu went out to field after they were dismissed for 275.

It was even at lunch, with Bay of Plenty three down, the same situation the visitors found themselves on the first day.

After lunch Bay dangerman Bharat Popli went for 59 with skipper Jono Boult posting a handy 42.

It was left to Bay of Plenty master blaster Brett Hampton to attempt to take his side through to a first innings advantage.

However, when Hampton went for his sides top score of 89, the Bay were in trouble and were dismissed for 256, to hand Manawatu first innings points.

Manawatu bowler Raoul Badenhorst troubled the Bay batsman throughout his 13 overs and was rewarded with five wickets for 52 runs.

At stumps on day two Manawatu were 54 for the loss of two wickets.
