Mount Maunganui should cement their place at the top of the WBOPCA Reserve Grade standings, when they meet the Sangha second team this Saturday.

The only time the defending champions have tasted defeat this season was in the season opener against Katikati.

While the Sangha team sit at the bottom of the standings, they have shown on a couple of occasions they have several batsmen that can trouble most bowling attacks.

Sangha players lead both the Reserve Grade Top Dog batting and bowling honours board.

GS Gargan has a clear lead at the top of the batting stakes with 302 runs, with Dev Sangha leading the wicket taking tally with 13 bowling scalps. The form book suggests that they should account for Cadets at the Tauranga Domain on Saturday.

The quiet achiever has been Greerton, who sit in third place just three points behind the Sangha first eleven.

They have a good chance to cement their place in the top four when they travel to Te Puke to meet the home side.

Katikati at home at the Uerata Domain, will be heavily favoured to despatch Tauranga Boys College.

Defending B Grade title holders Grasshoppers, have a good opportunity to advance up the standings, facing Greerton at Pemberton Park. They have made a relatively slow start to their title defence, but the Greerton B Graders should pose little problems for the Hoppers.

Mount Masters could get their first points on the board when they meet Cadets at Blake Park, with Wanderers and Albion who both call Ferguson Park home, likely to have a good old fashioned battle at Waipuna Park.
