MetService says from 9am today to midnight on Monday, between 4cm to 8cm is expected to accumulate above 700 metres, with lesser amounts to 500 metres.

Rain is forecast to clear overnight, with snow developing on Monday morning, persisting through much of Monday and possibly Tuesday. Further accumulation is likely to continue on Tuesday.
