After six weeks touring America and representing Tauranga, musician Regan Perry is back in town and on stage this Friday.
Regan, with his brother Sasha, will bring back their hard roots sound to Brewers Bar as part of the Rootsman Vibration Tour.

Regan will be joined by Tigerhour, featuring Hani Totorewa of Katchafire, and K-Dredd, featuring Karl Thomas formerly of House of Shem.
He says all three acts will be giving audiences their fix of Aotearoa and Pacific Roots music this Friday.
'Yeah we're all looking forward to the Brewers Gig, as for me it'll be my first gig in the area so it'll be a mean celebration,” he says.
'My set will cover favourite tunes from my two albums so far, plus there'll be a few new tracks I've been working on with Sasha.”
In August Regan spent six weeks touring America and played gigs in Washington DC, Maryland, Indianapolis and Baltimore.
He wrapped up his tour in Kansas City by performing at Dancefestopia - the fourth largest electronic music festival in the world.
The tour was to promote his latest album ‘Maui', named after Regan's 4-year-old son, which was very well received.
'The tour went awesome,” he adds. 'I travelled by myself and jumped right in the deep end.
'I did deal with ‘the industry' but just kept fending for myself, kept my head up and believed in mine and my family's music.”
A highlight of the tour for Regan was meeting The Wailers guitarist Junior Marvin, who also appears on his latest album.
He says meeting local people was another highlight, especially those from cities where his favourite bands originally hailed from.
'Like meeting someone born and raised in Washington DC who experienced punk music and bands like Fugazi when it was first starting up,” he says.
'America is like Europe - it seems like a lot of little countries inside it with their own flavours.”
Not one to rest on his laurels, the immediate future will be a very busy time if Regan gets his way.
The goal, he says, is to keep creating something fresh every six months, so expect a lot of albums.
'The nature of albums have changed these days,” he explains. 'People put just as much effort into an EP or single that they do for a full album.
'So I'm just gonna keep pumping music out, that's for sure.”
The Rootsman Vibration Tour featuring Regan Perry, Tigerhour and K Dredd plays Brewers Bar in Mount Maunganui on Friday, November 7, from 8.30pm.
