The last round of qualifying play ahead of the Western Bay Reserve Grade playoffs, sees a must win scenario for five teams battling for the last two semi-final berths.
Competition front-runners Mount Maunganui should defeat Te Puke on Saturday and finish as the top qualifier to grab a home semi-final.
Tauranga Boys College will also book a home semifinal venue if they get past Greerton at Nicholson field.
But the final two semi-final berths are up for grabs with just five points separating Katikati, Cadets, Sikh Sports, Greerton and R&A Sangha.
Multiple Reserve Grade titleholders Cadets and competition newcomers Sikh Sports will go into battle at Ferguson Park number two wicket, with the winner booking a berth in the playoffs.
Next door at Ferguson three, last season's Reserve Grade champions R&A Sangha will go to the 'last chance saloon” and need to dispatch current Baywide Reserve champions Katikati, to keep their top four aspirations alive.
The B Grade top four semi-finalists have emerged with one round of the qualifying competition remaining.
Cadets, Grasshoppers and the Singh XI are locked at the top of the standings on 27 points, with Katikati lurking just three points adrift in fourth place.
A head to head battle between Grasshoppers and the Singh XI, will result in the winner grabbing a home ground semi-final.
Cadets will secure the second home semifinal if they beat Mount Maunganui at Blake Park.
In other B Grade matches, the winner of the Albion verses Greerton encounter will secure their first win of the season, while Katikati could have a good tussle with Wanderers.
