The big match-up in round two of the WBOPCA Reserve Grade Championship title chase, takes place at Ferguson Park, when defending titleholders R&A Sangha face off against multiple Reserve championship winners Mount Maunganui.

Both sides warmed up for the big battle on last week with victories in the opening round of the title race.

The Sangha XI won a high scoring contest with 2014 WBOPCA Shield winners Katikati after posting a massive 304/9.

Katikati made a game attempt for victory before being bowled out for 242. The individual highlight in the match was 109 blasted by Katikati's Matt Warren.

Mount Maunganui were chasing Tauranga Boys College 2nd XI total of 220 and got home with five wickets to spare. Joel Thompson top scored for the winners with a solid 73 runs.

Greerton and Cadets were the two other sides to open their Championship ledger account with maximum point's victories.

This weekend the two unbeaten sides square off at Ferguson two. The third encounter at Ferguson Park is between Tauranga Boys College 2nd XI and Sikh Sports with the winner putting their first points on the board.

Te Puke and Katikati will meet at the neutral venue of Gordon Spratt Reserve in Papamoa.

B Grade defending champions Wanderers made a winning start to defending their crown when they beat multiple titleholders Grasshoppers. Wanderers face Greerton who also made a winning start to the championship defeating Albion.

This season's first round competition winners Cadets square off with Grasshoppers at Mitchell Park, while the Singh XI are at home at Centennial Park in Te Puke against Mount Maunganui.

Albion travel to play Katikati at their home base at Moore Park.
