Large traffic delays are being reported on Pyes Pa Road, near Barkes Corner this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a car has broken down in the lane heading from Pyes Pa towards town.

"I've had to ditch the car and walk to work to get there on time," says Natasha Hoskin, who works in Greerton.

She says a vehicle has broken down and is not able to be moved.

People travelling in the area should expect delays or avoid the scene if possible.

Google's live traffic reporting shows traffic is stalled along Pyes Pa Road.
