Police are making enquiries to locate a vehicle that was seen travelling near Tauriko on State Highway 29 at around 12.15pm.

Police say a vehicle of interest to Police was seen driving on the wrong side of the road.

"While a pursuit was initiated, it was abandoned within seconds," says a police spokesperson.

"Police did not manage to locate the vehicle.

"Inquiries were ongoing to locate it."
